Three ZKM-468's at the range today.

I recently got a deal on 4 BRNO ZKM-468 .22LR single shot bolt action rifles. Three are shooters. One is badly damaged with a split barrel.

Anyhooo... Took the three good rifles to the indoor range for testing. Oh my goodness these shoot amazingly well. Once I got the sight picture figured out on these I gave the best shooter a good long session. Shot about 100 rounds with it.

These are at 15 yards. The bulls are .9" diameter. I also shot at the logo in the bottom middle of the page. 3 shots each target for 18 rounds total.

I shot these standing, no sling, open sights, low light and with my distance eyeglasses on.

I am more than pleased with both myself and these little rifles.

These little single shot rifles are a hoot to shoot. And surprisingly easy to shoot, reload shoot etc. The gun that shot those targets is the nastiest of the three that were functional. The stock is loose. The take down nut is rusted to the stud and I cannot get it to come loose. But the little bugger shoots great. The other two rifles shoot great too.

I just need to decide which of the three to keep and which to sell....

I'm leaning toward keeping the worst one. Make it a cleanup project.

Now for my evil plans on the broken gun...

I can cut about 2" off the muzzle and be past the crack in the barrel. Reline the barrel with a .17 barrel liner, recrown, chamber for .17HMR, mill groves for optics, fit a 'tacti-cool' flash suppressor and Duracoat the thing.

Instant Jr. Sniper rifle!
