My CZ 52 Refurbished and upgraded
« on: August 24, 2011, 05:48:39 PM »
I posted a couple of days ago in someone else's thread ,well my CZ 52 is done we are taking pics now and we will add them to this post later tonight. I started with an unfired pretty much pristine CZ 52 ,added some upgrades; an extended slide stop, hardened rollers for the barrel, a competition 5lb firing pin and spring, and an extractor. I stripped it all down & redid it in Graphite Black and a custom Gray Cerakote that I mixed-almost dupilcates the original parkerizing. I also had the slide milled for Novak sights to finish it off. I also did a friends CZ 52 in armour black and satin mag cerakote two tone. Should have pics of that by the weekend and Will put up some pics of a couple of others that we modded and refinished in the General firearms forum
-Enjoy the pics  and take care,Brian

Well got to range last ,was going to go today, but with that nasty hurricane coming up the west coast weather today and tomorrow doesn't look too good this weekend. All the mods and upgrades worked flawlessly. The wolff plus 10 power mag springs fixed the slide not locking open after the last round. The new extended slide stop works great -no more pulling back on the slide to put the next round in when inserting a fresh mag. The harrington firing pin kit greatly improved trigger pull while smoothing it out as well. Last I loved the sights ,overall the project turned out great and modernized a pistol that was ahead of it time to begin with.

Yeap, the Harrington pin and rollers are a nice upgrade . I installed them on my two CZ-52s that are fully upgraded , including new barrels.  Congrats on a nice rebuild .

Where did you get those great magazine floor plates?

Are those old Makarov.com units??

I am finally up to 8 magazines for my CZ52, the slide just got done at Novaks, hoping to get it next week. all the other mods done years ago, had my baby since 1991

You have a pair if beautiful looking CZ 52's. Harrington parts are very nice we are fortunate that there are still parts out there for these pistols.
