I made the exact same tool Dan, it comes in quite handy.

Here's a "tool" I made to handle the task of holding onto and positioning that pesky sear spring.  Used the Dremel to put a notch in the end of the blade of a small jewelers screwdriver.  Worked like a charm.   :)

HK Black and Stainless Steel

This one looks very classy. Nice choice of grips too, they look awesome with the 2 tone. That is about as fine a job as I've seen done with a sprayer too. The stainless doesn'teven look coated, it looks like actual metal. KUDOS, dude.

My contribution 9MM Mak CZ 82.  I've posted this before on a different thread a few years ago but it's been awhile.  Great pistol.

bearclaw46,

What finish do you have on your gun?

What brand of ammo is that? It doesn't look familiar.

Looks like it might be a bluing job.  Can't say for sure and I hope he answers.  I'm curious too.

Also curious as to the source of the grips.

i had some ammo like that once. I believe it is Barnaul (sp?) and it was the dirtiest ammo I have ever fired. It did shoot and feed well but after 50 rounds my hand looked like it had been in a fire.
I have a CZ and some other guns.
I really want to have more. That's not a bad thing.

OK, it's not exactly refinished...just "regripped".  These are a pair of grips I picked up on eBay from Vintage Gun Grips.  They're English walnut and came with 2 new grips screw, made in the USA.  They fit VERY well.  I didn't have to do a thing to them.  The only slight nit-picks I have is that both panels are a little over-flush at the bottom forward corner so you can feel a bit of a raised edge.  And the checkering could have been a just little sharper for my tastes.   I love the grade of wood, and how the grain direction matches up well with the serrations on the slide.  I'm very pleased!

Otter, a quick question on the grips.  Did you get those recently?  You said you found them on eBay.  I looked up the company Vintage Gun Grips and see the exact grips on their site but on eBay the only grips for this gun currently listed are the ones from Thailand.

Think I found my answer.  I was searching using "wood grips" on eBay and this seller did not include the word "wood" in the title.  Ok, now it's curious that on eBay, the listing is $83 for Buy It Now and on their web site, the set sells for $68.50.  Of course that is without the screws which are included on the auction listing.  Still.......   ::)
