Waiting for the next batch.....
« on: December 17, 2011, 10:11:15 PM »
I am a big fan of my SP01, and am looking forward to purchasing a 97B.  Unfortunately they have been out of stock for months.  Has anyone had luck with the info from CZ USA?  I haven't gotten any responses from their 'contact us' on the website.

CZ custom has had them 'on order' and didn't have any expected dates either.

I got to try the 97 at a local shooting event and can't wait to get one!

I have not gotten a response either. Is this normal for CZ? I have a 75 and po6 and local stores have plenty of those and the $1,000+ target models but NO 97 and No idea when.

Just received response :
CZ-USA:  "Current production plan shows that we will be caught up on the blued model in March and the black version hopefully shortly after that."

Thanks.... not exactly the answer I was hoping for.  Hope CZ keeps up with customer service and warranty work better than production!

The CZ Warranty Department is incredible.  I had my first experience about a year ago when I bulged the barrel of my P06 with one of my own handloads. They were very fast and responsive.   Gun is perfect now and I pay more attention during reloading.

Also, i actually got lucky and found a new 97bd.  It is on its way to me now.(It was their last one).

Good Luck

I just picked up mine from Angus's shop today and from what he told me, it is was an issue of fixing the mags, then producing more in order to ship with the pistols.
No mags=no 97's, and they will no longer be making the blued model, just the poly coat.

Gunbroker has one every week or so as does gunsamerica, just have to be persistent.

I am gleaning mine as we speak, in eager anticipation of heading to the range in the morn.

Good luck, if I run across one I will give you a heads up.

Thanks Josh,
I had talked to Angus about that last Blue one.  Unfortunately the blued finish is not approved in the peoples republic of Kalifornia.  I guess blue is more dangerous than black.... uh......

I have a local shop that has a 97 in stock, but they want over $800.  The point to having a gun should be to NOT get robbed.  Why would I want to get robbed in the process of getting the gun?  They will just have to keep dusting that one off.  Can't wait till the new spring batch comes out.

Denied and Depressed in Indiana

Went in to pick up my 97 bd on the 29th.  After taking it out of the plastic and admiring it for awhile I was informed I had to leave it there.  I had been DELAYED.  Aftering stewing for 5 days I went in today expecting everything had been cleared up only to find I was DENIED.

Twice now I have visited my new baby and went home empty handed.

I have no record of any type, have never been delayed but I did notice a person with a similar name as me was arrested this summer on our Interstate for a handgun violation.  He may be 10 years older, from new york instead of Indiana and of a different race....but we do have the same first and last name and he did visit our local jail.

Only saving grace is that I didn't pay anywhere near the $800 there selling on gunbroker for and THen have to wait.

who knows what shows up during those checks.  iirc, your dealer can ask whats up with the delay.  so the next time youre in there, why not ask?

also, btw, if at anytime there is something wrong with the system, it will delay you AUTOMATICALLY.  I just had it happen to me and it said i had to wait for 1 month - which i have NEVER had to do.  Once my dealer called back the next day, i was GTG.   So the next time youre delayed, ask some questions.

Just got one in like new condition today at the dealer for $400. It had only been there an hour before I snapped it up. Didnt really need another one, but for that price I would buy 10 of them.  ;D
