Competition Hammer and Springs for CZ 85 Combat

To improve the trigger pull, I am planning to change the factory hammer to a competition hammer and as suggested, replace Mainspring and Recoil Spring.  I do not intend to alter the sear or any metal part except polishing rough contact ares.  Will there be any further metal work (cutting or trimming) to some other components to fit the new hammer?  I saw some sites trimming the safety but I am not sure if this is applicable to my 85 Combat.  What would be the recommended springs for 115 gr to 124 gr LRN reloads and factory FMJ loads.

you're have to fit the safety/sear interface.
either by taking material off the sear arm that contacts the safety or off the pad of the safety that rotates up under the arm.

When you install the new hammer and put everything back together, and the Safety doesn't work, it will be evident where you need to "...take material off the sear arm that contacts the safety or off the pad of the safety that rotates up under the arm".

Will the reduced power springs work with the factory/stock hammer?

Yes.  Generally, the 15# hammer spring will run typical factory 9mm ammo with reliability.
Lighter than the 15# hammer/main spring can be used if you add an extended firing pin and/or avoid the known "hard" primers. These changes are inexpensive, fast and easy to do.
Polishing the friction areas will smooth the trigger pull noticeably 

The Comp. Hammer will limit  hammer camming, smooth and lighten the pull very noticeably.

Just got and installed a 13 lb mainspring, an extended firing pin and spring, and an 11 lb recoil spring.  I can feel the trigger pull difference.  My only concern is, the reduced power recoil spring is slightly longer than the original.  It will definitely offer a weaker racking effort, but it binds and the slide will not rack.  Do I have to cut a coil or a few to make it fit? 

UPDATE 1:  NO CUTTING, Recoil spring no longer binding.  I rotated the plastic/polymer guide rod with the spring installed several times within the slide.   I was able to rack the slide and hopefully with the spring compressed, it will sit in time.  I will keep you guys posted. 

UPDATE 2:  No binding anymore.  Spring now sits evenly.
