9mm should be good for rabbit, since our rabbits are stupid down here. Problem is you can't eat most of them, from what I am told.
I'm thinking vz-58s would be good for 100 yard game and varmint, specifically javalina and coyote.
Only problem is I have never learned HOW to hunt - every time I went out I ended up with someone who knew even less than I did.

AZ_CZ hit the nail on the head! Be very, very quiet. I suggest you find your spot and get comfortable. And yes, you might actually end up sitting all morning & afternoon without a thing to take. That happened a many times this season for me. Not exactly sure why all the deer are gone (plenty of acorns). We think it might be the large family of coyotes up the hill that's scaring them off.

BTW, having a suppressor would be SWEET in our spot as we are located in PETA, anti-gun, liberal lover's central. We hunt bow all season so as not to draw attention (though sometimes driving through town w/ a fresh take can spoil that; but nobody has said anything).

This is my buddy and I from a couple years ago. Nice 8pt. that filled his freezer.
