Graphite Lube on Slide Rails

When I asked my friendly neighborhood CZ man about cleaning and lubing, he recommended graphite powder for the slide rails.  Something to do with it working especially well in a polymer housing.  Whatever the case, any comments on whether this would work well/badly?

Well that certainly sounds interesting!  About the only drawback I could see would be maybe it wouldn't stay on the rails.  Isn't graphite powder pretty dry...
