CZ-100 Prices and Holstering for CCW
« on: June 21, 2002, 09:11:45 AM »
I'm seriously considering the CZ-100 in .40 as my first CCW.  I have a couple of questions about it:

1) Pricing.  I've seen it at gunbroker.com for $329 while my local stockist will sell it to me for $360.  Add up shipping and FFL fees and that's about the same +/- a few bucks.  Yet on this board I've seen people talking about 320 w/two mags and a holster.  What's the current story?

2) Holstering.  Obviously, this is a big question, and I'll probably get advice from my CCW instructor, but I'm considering a fanny pack, probably Uncle Mike's.  I live in the hot country, and wear casual clothes 95% of the time, so I don't have a jacket for concealment 7 months of the year.  Fanny packs are pretty common for men and women around here, so it seems like a logical choice.  Does anyone have comments pro/con this path.  What other options are out there?  Also, what size pack would I need for effective concealment and ease of access?

i own a cz-100 in .40s&w and paid 325 for it...shipped to my ffl....didnt have to pay that fee, though, because my ffl IS my dealer.. ;-)

i havent heard anything about 360 AND a holster, though. instead of a fanny pack, have you ever considerd an inside-the-pants holster?

i wear mine (ccw of course) in a cheap flexible fabric belt holster with the FBI cant...........right side/kidney.
hahaha, hope i dont fall down on it someday.  OUCH!!! feels like someone punched me in the kidney!

I had a big problem finding reliable prices for my CZ 100 40cal. also.  I saw it on gunbroker for around 300-350$, but I ended up ordering from a local gundealer.  He was able to get me the whole deal w/o a holster for 345.  This included a case, extra 10 round clip, cleaning brushes, and a speed loader.

I think the cheaper the price, the less your going to get in the box.  So make sure everything is included, ESPECIALLY the speed loader. You'll understand later.

In a nutshell, even if you have to spend 350$ on the gun, you'll soon see it's well worth it.

Happy shooting

www.gunsrus.net

this guy lives in my state. the cz firearms arent even listed on the site, but, if you shoot them an email/contact.....he will get back to you promptly, and with a good price.....also, tell him that Bill told you about him. that should help with the price.  :-)

Thanks for the info and leads.  If the package checks out I'll probably just swallow the few extra bucks and buy locally -- gives me someone to yell at if there are problems.

"speedloader"??  u mean the magazine loader??

Essential for the .40 S&W guns, but not really needed

1.) $450.00
2.) I'm live in a country where there's only two seasons: hot & humid and very hot & very humid. I use OWB, IWB and fanny packs when carrying. I usually wear t-shirt. When going somewhere-OWB or IWB. When going to work (in t-shirt), I use fanny packs cause we are not allowed to carry in our office.
