Are the CZ100 mags interchangible with PCR mags?
« on: June 13, 2002, 02:03:37 PM »
I know the hi-cap CZ75 will fit the 9mm CZ100, but was wondering if  the 10 rnd  (or 13rnd if/when I ever find one!) from my PCR will fit in the CZ100.  And vice-versa.

Thanks for any info.

PS. Anyone know of any Kydex holster models which fit the CZ100?

PCRit,
That's a question I would like to know also. I just ordered a
CZ100 sight unseen,do you have one yet ? There is more infor
mation on the compacts and that's the way I may end up going or stick with my G26. I hate double answers and silence.

Species1951,

Well, so far, no answer here or on the Compact forum.  As a last resort I'll contact Mike at CZ-USA. I looked at a CZ-100 at my local store (CZ-Connection) and they have 2.  I'll take one of my PCR Mags to the store or just try a mag from the CZ75-Compact that they have in the store. I'm pretty sure the CZ100 can use the PCR mags (since it will take the CZ75 hi-caps), but I was trying to find someone who has actually used the mags and what success/problems they had.  For now, I too will stick to using my G26 for CCW.  Just thought it might be nice to have a "set" of mags which I could use with either the PCR or the CZ100 for range time.  Also, these CZ-100s are sold with 13 rnd mags in Europe (like the PCR), so there MUST be a supply of these mags...somewhere???

Well, it's off to the range to put another 100 rnds throught my "new" PCR. I did get a replacement mag for the PCR from Mike at CZ-USA (and one from Phil at CZ connection).  These replacement mags will hold all 10 rnds, whereas the mags which came with the PCR, would NOT, in any way, ever hold ten rounds.

Hi there guys, just want to share that the CZ-100 that are sold here in the Philippines have  13round magazine. Coz here  in our country there is no law to restraining a pistol owner for 10 round of ammo. Ask jbest for more details coz he already have the gun. For me I'm still waiting for my luck for the incoming stocks of CZ-100.

Thanks folks. When you do get the information please post,
in the mean time think I'll check out the compacts. By the way
how do you like your PCR  for ccw ? I feel much more secure with a D/A first shot trigger, or DAO for carry. Have used the
Glocks for years with no problems but I like these CZ's more.

I've used the G26 for 2+years. I like it very much, extremely reliable and easier to conceal under a T-shirt than the G19 or PCR due to the smaller grip height (only 4", versus 5" for either of the others).  That 1" DOES make a difference, at least to me.  But with a jacket or sweatshirt, the PCR should be fine (I carry IWB, clip on). I too would be more comfortable with a DAO for carry (which is why I'm looking at the CZ100), but have installed a heavier trigger (NY1) on the G26. I'd like something a little lighter and more narrow than the G26, and may pick up a Kahr PM9, if they ever come out this summer.  I hear Glock may come out with a single-stack nine this Fall to compete with Kahr, guess we'll see.

By the way, the new PCR mags worked perfect at the range this AM, no problems at all. I will not hesitate to carry the PCR when it gets a little cooler in GA :)   Now if I could find that elusive 13rnd mag!!!

PCRit,
Does the NY1 trigger really add much weight to the pull on your G26 ? That might be worth me looking into.

The NY1 trigger results in an 8lb pull, if you are still using the stock 5lb connector, which I am. I really like the "feel" of the trigger re-set more than the extra 3lbs of pull weight, a much crisper re-set feel. I haven't tried the NY2 (12lb pull), but they may be too much.  However after feeling the CZ100 trigger, which is reeeally long and heavy, the Glock NY2 may seem light :)   I may give the NY2 a try, just for the heck of it. I think the NY1 and NY2 trigger springs cost around $7 from Glockmiester.

I also emailed Mike at CZ-USA regarding using the PCR mags in a CZ100, I'll let you know what he says.

PCRit,
Just got off the phone with CZ-USA, the compact mags do not work in the 100 model, something about the base being
different.
The CZ100 has it's own mags and of course the full size mags
do work just fine. The bottom line for me is,sold the G26 and
I am waiting to take delivery of my CZ100. I'm pleased.
Enjoy your compact.
Best

Species1951,

You are correct, here is what Mike at CZ-USA emailed to me.

"The main difference between the compact 75 magazine and the 100, 9mm is the
magazine latch cuts are different. They are  located close enough together
that a 100 mag can be converted to a compact mag, but not the other way around.
I  have been trying to get hi-cap mag bodies for both of these pistols and have
only now recived a good supply of compact, hi-cap mag bodies. I will keep trying on
the 100 hi-cap bodies, and when they do come in, will only require a tube switch
with the 10 rounder".

However, Mike says that the compact 13 rd tubes are available and are $27.44, and will only require the steel compact mag base at $4.91, to convert the ten rounders.
To order with a  visa/mastercard, call Mike, CZ-USA, at 1-800-955-4486.

I'll repost the availability of the compact 13 rnd tubes on the Compact Forum.
