help me out concerning this cz100
« on: May 04, 2002, 02:20:05 PM »
gentlemen,  i have been using glocks ever since they came of in the 1980's and i have a high opinion of them. they are light weight, tough, reliable, and reasonably economical. i recently have purchase two cz firearms:
a .22 rifle, and a 9mm cz75b. i would like to say that these have become two of my favorite guns. therefore i am looking at the cz100 as my new carry piece. my questions are: will the mags for my cz75b fit this pistol? this is called double action--does it feel like a da revolver and if it is shorter how safe is it. with my glocks i get really consistent, tight groups will the cz100 trigger make for tight groups. just how good, tough, and reliable is this pistol. thanks for all replies in advance.

Arthur, We here at the CZ-100 Club are genuinely happy that you have found what is apparently an excellent value.  The fact that you state,   " i would like to say that these have become two of my favorite guns. ", tells me that you are more than satisfied with your investment.

In as much as you are considering the CZ-100 as your "carry piece" as you have described it, my advice to you is to put one in your hand and fire it before you buy.  Even though I am heavily biased towards the weapon the seriousness of "Carry Piece" should dictate that you actually experience the mechanics of same. While the intent of your post is to solicit opinions the replies you will get will be just that, opinions!  I would at this time implore you to peruse the rest of the previous posts in this forum.

Am very happy with my .40 cal cz100.  I have g22 and the 100 seems to recoil less because of the ported barrel.
The trigger pull on the 100 is longer and heavier than the g22, but has a very crisp and consistant break with very little over travel. Regards.

I don't have the slightest idea as to why this is but some owners(me included) report a very heavy trigger on the 9mm 100, and others don't have a problem with it. I have dry fired two other 100's that did not take anywhere near the effort to pull the DAO trigger.  My only explanation is the main spring that fits inside the firing pin.  Frankly I don't think the same LB. spring is in all these weapons.

the DAO trigger is the Main point of discussion with the
CZ-100.

So far it seems like i can relate it to.

Airsoft..replica gun.

Glock 17L ..long take up..and spongy break,

Rea gun;

SIGMA 9mm.  long heavy DAO pull and spongy break.
thought i was going to snap the plastic trigger.

CZ-100:

CZuper Light.. compact.and safe.

good looking and very reliable according to its fans.

I own 6 9mms. and didn't need another one.

This Cz-100 truly a departure from the mainstream CZ..
and i guess if you accept the DAO..then it will serve you
well.

I'm finding that i can get a rythmic pull when dry firing.

Hopefully, i'll get to test fire the 100 on Thursday,
weather permitting.

Got the HUME CZ-76 belt slide, belt..and 9mm ammo
ready to go.
