I was curious to hear what ammo the other CZ100 owners have been carrying.

I was carrying the now discontinued 95gr. 9mm  P Triton CQD Frangibles. I am switching to 64 gr.  P Magsafe Stealth (1950fps!), and even 80 gr.  P Glaser's from time to time.

Even though CZ doesn't recommend using  P ammo, I have never had a problem with it. I don't practice with  P ammo very often, but always carry it.

Interesting. as i relied on the Galsers for many a year. If i could carry them that is.
i needed the safety factor in my work enviroment.

The superb stopping power was just the icing on the cake.Only against autos did
i feel a bit leary. The IMI black tip 9mm mag was always on my belt.

Most people didn't like the Glaser, because of tacticle penetration issues. The
Glaser silver helped with this. I think that they are very worth while for those
that know the limitations of the Safety Slug.

The old SAP was keen on a new bullet that would afford officer safety thru
increased stoppingpower, but also limit liablity in the event of overpenetration.
After years of research and being pushed by persons as myself for such a load.
the SENTRY round was adopted.

While not a Glaser, it does act on the frangible principle.and is optional for duty use.

Few street reports surface on Glasers, or most Frangibles.. as most cops can't or won't carry such.
You can bet the Sky Marshals sure are, as they developed the Glaser round.

let me know what you finally purchase.

I have ask cz-usa if cz-100 can handle cor-bon (which is a +P ammo), and their reply is "the cz-100 will handle any commercially manufactured ammunition, loaded to CIP/SAAMI".

JBEst, that's interesting and good to know they are standing behind their product.  Thanks!

Hmmmm. I asked CZ-USA a while back about the same issue. They told me that the 75B and the 100 were not designed to handle the pressures of +P rounds. I have fired +P's from Glaser, Magsafe, and Cor-Bon. But, not on a regular basis.

I have been wondering the same thing about +P Ammo, but it seems that many, many people are using it in their CZ.  Check out Ammo section for instance.

Well, my mags are holding Federal hydroshock 135 gr. JHP right now.  I don't think they will blow the polymer apart but you never know..

It's nice to know that the CZ rep. says they stand behind their product but keep in mind they are standing behind in KC not behind you on the range....Easy on those reloads guys...

Ok, here is my take on the whole thing.  CZ will never say it is ok to use +p or +p+ ammo for liability reasons...PERIOD!

All CZ's are made for NATO spec ammo.  This is a much higher rating than SAAMI in the states.  For a 9mm +P+ is typically rated around 39-40,000 psi , NATO is rated up to 42,000 psi.

Just for this reason, I believe you can shoot any d*mn thing you want for as long as you want.  The guns were built for it.

You cant blaim them for their actions and lack of comments...its company policy through out the world to keep a "safety buffer" in any area that could be a problem, regardless of how slight the risk is.

Shoot well

I agree, if Any service type pistol can take a beating.it's the CZ.

The added "accelerated wear" should be noted. I've made inquiry to the use
of my Hirtenberger 9mm subgun ammo in a CZ75.

Liability and warranty..they are also key words when discussing the use of
more powerful 9mm or other caliber loads.
