Nutzo - I have had my 40 cal from the summer of 2001, very accurate.
The inside of the barrel is not round. It is more octagonal. I have pictures; I don't know how to attach them here. You may email me privately at my wife's address: revolvergal@yahoo.com and I'll send them.
By the way - yes the enclosed little target is the pattern of your gun's firing on paper at 25 M. Mine was not perfect but as I said it is accurate in my hand. Also the ammo they used on mine was a brand I have heard of but don't know too much about. On my sheet it gave the employee number of the guy who did the shooting so there may be a variation from shooter to shooter - who knows - help this helps
