CZ85 Combat Firing Pin
« on: April 30, 2012, 06:18:48 PM »
I changed out my mainspring to 13#.  I shot my reloaded ammo (100 rounds) and did not have any problems.  To be on the safe side I  purchased the CZ 85/TS/Shadow Firing Pin and recommended Firing Pin Spring (CZ2075).  When I replaced the original CZ85C Firing Pin it had a flat side to it.  The new Firing Pin is completely round.  Is this the correct Firing Pin?

I did mine few weeks back.   I have a CZ 85 Combat.  The new extended firing pin is just a shade longer than the original and no flat at all.  You did not mention the pistol you have.  "B" pistols have firing pin block and if your original firing pin has a flat, you have an 85B. These pistols are basically identical except for the added firing pin block.    I am not sure if a firing pin for an 85B will fit an 85 Combat, but you can make the comparison yourself.  The flat on the B series allows a cam-like surface to engage or lock the firing pin.  Only a pull of the trigger will allow the firing pin to strike the primer.  If the rest of the dimensions are identical, then it should fit an 85 Combat.

Check these and compare
