New (now discontinued) PCR review
« on: May 04, 2002, 03:49:29 PM »

Have had my new (now discontinues PCR) for about 3 weeks now adn have fired 500+ rounds. In the first 200 rounds I had 3 events of failure to feed, after that no problems, no malfunctions.

I have shot UMC, CCI and Winchester target ammo through the gun and all did well, today I shot some Federal Hydra-shoks (135gr/1000 fps muzzle velocity) without a hitch.  The recoil for the Hydra-shoks was low and not much more than the target ammo. I have a Browning Hi Power and a MK9 by Kahr and the recoil of the CZ product is considerably less for the same ammo loads/bullet weights .

I love the trigger pull on this gun. The decocked DA is not too stiff/long and the SA  pull is not too light or short for my style of shooting.  I find the factory grips comfortable when shooting and the size of the grips fits my hand well.  The firearm is well balanced, is a good size to carry and a good weight comprise for the caliber.  Does my PCR shoot straight as an arrow, OH Yeah!

I wish I had purchased one of these babies years ago!

Just curious, but did you have any problem with the new PCR mags holding all ten rounds right out of the box.  As you can see in my previous post (PCR vs G26) the new mags would not hold 10 or feed properly with 9, but was OK with 8 or <.

Just wondering, I'm sure the mags springs will be OK after a break-in period, or at least I hope that will be the case.  So far 100 rnds through the PCR, no problems with the gun at all, very nice indeed, and boy is it accurate, better than my G26 or the G19.

Magazines in the PCR load all 10 - no sweat - now the mags in my CZ 100 are another story!
