CZ-75 BD Compact "Carry"
« on: March 09, 2002, 03:03:50 PM »
Does anyone own the new .40S&W CZ-75 BD Compact "Carry"?  I understand this model has a factory melt job. I was wondering if this model has an alloy or steel frame?

Also, how does this model compare to the other new .40, CZ-75 BD Compact?

Bad News...as far as I know, learned from CZ reputable sources.  The 40's havent been made and the date for future production isnt known.  If you want a "compact" CZ in 40, your choices are the CZ 100 and the CZ 100.
CZUSA and CZUB...teased the US and its market with ads in the gun rags and in there catalogs for a while with the 40 versions of the existing guns....I wanted one really badly.
If this changes...will let you know....Shoot well

While making a committed search to find my first CZ I came across this pistol at the following link:

pdmall.com/CZC/pistol~1.htm

I think this would be my dream CZ, as it has all of the features I prefer (at least it seems to).

Has anyone called this place:
            THE GUN SHOP
                             4230 HWY 29 SUITE 17
                            LILBURN, GEORGIA, USA
                                      TOLL FREE
                                  1-888-207-2220

and found out why the Compact "Carry" is posted if it is not avaiable for sale.........I'm very disappointed..........I drooled all over my keyboard for nothing!!!!!!!!!

The bad news, is as Eric says, there are none. The good news is that the CZ-100 is a very nice firearm on its own merits. It is DAO but the long trigger pull is smooth and crisp. Check it out.

The demise of the PCR, and us not being able to egt the
newest police compact, until August.

leaves the CZ75B Compact as the option. or the superb
CZ83 in 9mm Mak or .380.  which is my choice..due to
the fact that the Compact is not Much smaller than my
longtime '75s.

The CCW favorite..alloy framed PCR, with cool rear sight.
and all.

There is still a demand for a light, compact and even .40
caliber CZ.

Something made for Civilian carry..not a police service gun.
Standard controls..ie. cocked n locked..OR Decocker.
PCR rear sight..might as well make it Ambi, too

I hate to see ppl passing up CZs, just because they are
not compatible for the left handed. Everyone needs a chance at these great guns!

Maybe the CZ-100 will find favor with me.i don't know.
it's an interim gun, until i can get ahold of a CZ- P01

to show here and elsewhere.

I just clicked on CZ Connecton - the CZ-75 BD Compact "Carry"  is no longer posted on the site.  Maybe CZ-USA complained..........good thing I saved this picture into my files, I really like this pistol.

CZ-USA, you have a buyer if you ever come out with this pistol (.22, 9X17, 9X18, 9X19, .357 Sig, .40 S&W  the caliber doesn't matter.  Hell, you would end up with a collector's frenzy!!!).  You wouldn't happen to have a prototype lying around needing a good home, would you?

Man do I hear ya! I would love this gun in a 40. I already have a full size 40, but would buy this thing in a heart beat.

I really love this pistol, when will it reach American shores?

I'm a Marine veteran and I'm going to pitch my Colts to get this CZ!!!!!

Who can I bribe?

Thanks for reading the rantings and ravings of an old curmudgeon.

Sorry I do not believe any were made. We were suppose to start production last year and the production was halted and they decided not to do it at this time. I will pass your message on to the factory and let them know of the interest. We always value customer comments. Thanks

Everytime I see some activity on this thread or others bearing a similar topic, I keep hoping that the latest post will be some announcement that CZ will be shipping the Compact "Carry" any day now.

I appreciate your posting of CZ-USA's reply.  I think I will visit their website to send them my comments as well.  Have a good one, and shoot safe.
