Congratulations on your new rifle, they're shooters. I own a 453 American, and it would be the last of my rifles that I would consider parting with. I used Talley rings to mount a 3-9x40 Zeiss Conquest, but I would choose whatever scope you want first and then shop for the rings. The CZ rimfire bolt lift is known for complicating the process a bit, but if there's a will, there's a way.
I mainly write with regards to the Nikon 3-9x40 EFR. I have one mounted on a Savage Mark II, and I am very satisfied with it. I reviewed the scope and rifle (

"The Nikon EFR is a newer scope. I instantly noticed how much brighter this scope is from the Prostaffs I have owned in the past. It has 1/4 minute adjustments at 50 yards, and features a fine crosshair with a target dot. I was hesitant about the dot, but it grew on me after I started shooting with it. I knew the dot would help when hunting, but I was concerned about its use when target shooting. However, when I put that dot on the 1" bull, it basically auto-centered and allowed quick and accurate fire. The EFR's main feature is the parallax adjustment on the objective lens. It allows adjustment from infinity all the way down to 10 yards; a nice feature for a rimfire rifle. Overall I was very impressed with the Nikon EFR's performance, as it is bright and it tracks well."
I don't think you can go wrong with the Nikon EFR, and your approach in considering what has worked for others, is wise. Concerning the BDC reticle, I am not a fan. I subscribe to the ?Aim small, miss small? principle, and the BDC is in direct contradiction to it. The best of fortune to you, on your search for a scope.
