167265: PCR -vs- Glock 19, Just for grins.

Pogo2, some people dislike polymer. fact. Does that make them irrational? No. Freedom to choose is what this country is all about buddy. Actually you could shorten that to "freedom" is what its all about. No harm, no foul.

Now the PCR. It is a CZ 75D compact PCR. "PCR" for short.

The PCR stands for Police of the Czech Republic. It is an alloy framed, de-cocker, with extended mag release, low profile sites, loaded chamber indicator, serrated front and back strap, and recoil absorbing rubber grip panels.

The piece has a nominal capacity of 10   1 9X19, but I have had zero difficulty finding 13 round mags. About $18.00 right now from Zanders.

You can click the link I have provided to learn about the PCR and all the fine products from CZ.

I didnt see any link and checked out gzanders.  I couldnt see the 18$ Hi Caps..If this is a true price...just on it and buy everthing they have.  Even for range mags its an awesome price.  BUT, be careful.  If you CCW you PCR or Compact, use only CZ or MecGar mags...IMO, they are the most dependable.
Shoot well

Here's the link to that discussion. Sent an e-mail to Zanders, still no response.

This is the reply I posted:

Here it comes again! If you had never shot a Glock 19 your nod would be to the PCR. It is accurate, reliable, and compact. The PCR comes with 10 round magazines and 13 rounders are hard to find and trendy. The factory grips on the PCR give the pistol the overall feel of a Browning High-Power. The negative is the material didn't feel good in my hands. I bought a pair of wood factory grips for my PCR. Downside is the factory grips aren't cheap. The factory sights on the PCR are a little hard for old eyes to pick up. After saying all this, I like the PCR and it fits in Glock 19 holsters.

The Glock 19 is the most size efficient service 9mm made. It is also accurate, reliable, and compact. Its sights are better than the PCR's for old eyes and high capacity magazines are easier to find. After saying all this, I like the Glock 19 and it fits in PCR holsters.

In the end both are fine weapons. I give the nod to the Glock 19.

Richard

..though whether the magazine is really available for $18.00@gzanders. Not listed right now and no response either on an e-mail inquiry. But what the heck, with the PCR's accuracy you probably do not need the extra 3 shots!:rollin
