The Pellet Pen Pellet Loader
« on: August 20, 2012, 02:47:05 PM »
Bought and tried the Crosman Pellet Pen:
http://www.crosman.com/gear/clips/PL177
The Crosman brand was here at Big5, so I thought I?d give it a whirl
It work fairly well
No fumbling with loading Pellets into the Breach

Looked at the two other makes too, but I have to order one on-line:
http://www.pyramydair.com/m/Pellet-Pen/199
I may try the ?Pellet Pen? model, just to see if theirs works even better

Anyone else tried any of these ?

Thanks, Den never heard of them before.

I do a lot of mechanical drawing and discovered by chance that the little clear plastic tubes from Pentel or others containing replacement leads are just perfect for 1 dozen .22 calber pellets. Handy to stick in the pocket and comes with a little slip-on plastic cap. If heated a bit label can be carefully peeled off and the paint on open end can be gently scraped off leaving clear plastic tube for ready count of remaining contents.

Spirit:
Cool that a throw-away Pen or Pencil will double as a Pellet Dispenser
I could load the Pellet Pen and an empty Pen Tube to reload the PP

I did end-up buying the AirVenturi brand Pellet Pen from PyramydAir
I think like the Crosman better
The AV Pellet Pen holds more, but I like the mechanics of the Crosman?.Very simple
I think the AirVenturi and the PelletPin brand Pen are very much (or exactly) the same design
AirVenturi has them in both, .177 and .22 but Crosman and PelletPin brands are only in .177

Man I 'need' one of those for .177 pellets.  I fumble often getting it nose first into the chamber.  It's NOT a break-bbl, so it has to layed in and then close the bolt to feed.  Looks like that X-Man would work.
