I love these quotes! This man deserves a medal!

"I'm a military man -- I ain't going to dial somebody and have to wait for an hour while the guy shoots me in the face and is gone."

"They [bullets] all stop 'em, but the one that goes in the heart, that's the quickest. Maybe this will stop all this stealing and robbing."

Good on him!  That is pretty much what someone breaking into my house would get, too - but not from a .22!

Just wondering why the other two clowns are not up for 'Felony' murder.

And I salute the neighbor who loaned Mr. Jones a shotgun and the pawn shop that offered to replace his Marlin 60.

He did what he had to do and did it well. Proves it is all about accuracy not caliber.

ME!  Using a rifle certainly aided his aim and terminal ballistics.  I think the caliber debate would better be served by pointing out the advantage of a long gun for HD.

What about this quote?
Quote
"I feel bad Mr. Jones had killed someone, but if he wounded him, I would have been cheering," she said.
I wonder why?  Does she feel bad for Jones for having to live with the thought of killing another human being? (I doubt it). As a Christian, I guess I feel bad that Maxwell put his life in a place where he was robbing 90 yr old people.  I feel bad that Maxwell forced Jones in a position to take mortal action.  I pray for the forgiveness of Maxwell's sins when he meets his maker,  but I don't feel bad about the timing or method by which that meeting was arranged.
I'll never understand bleeding hearts (no pun intended).

The feeling I got was the woman is one of those bleeding heart types who would never condone killing anyone.

He'd appreciate the gesture, but probably tell him to keep it as he is not short on guns.

This is a couple miles down the road from me.  The man in question is doing just fine, other than that we still haven't found the guys who stole the cattle off his farm.

I humbly present this as exhibit a:  we still know how to keep it real in ky
