Price is good.  I don't think it is out of reason.  Hope he gets it!
With three Mags and a low round count
You bet, it's a good buy

skipper,

With a bipod you wouldn't be able to conceal it while strolling Flori-duh's beaches in your Speedo.

If you had that HOG in your speedo on a Flori-duh beach you would definetly draw a crowd!

Tactically I still don't get it.  Aesthetically I do.  Beautiful guns as always.  I guess I need to get over my aversion to the Witness models.  I read tons of stuff on the interwebz all the time.  Isn't it funny how you can read a couple of negative things about a gun and those are the ones that stick with you.  Anyway, while not completely a convert I do recognize how cool it would be to be able to mix and match.  I did swap slides on my 75B and compact one day at the range.  They both shot fine.  It was the shooter that was out of whack.

BA:
I know a Semi-Compact isn?t for everybody, but they sure work for me
It's all about concealment, while retaining HiCap and controllability
The shorter length fits well under my arm, in my Horz Shoulder Rig and down into my Deep Cover Holster
Make sense of them or not, I do like the set-up

Doesn't IWI offer the Jericho in full-, semi-compact-, and compact-sized frames, both steel and polymer?

Jericho 941 F
 Barrel Length: 4.41 in
 Overall Length: 8.15 in
 Height: 5.51 in
 Width: 1.38 in
 Weight: 38.4 oz
 Magazine Capacity: 16

Jericho 941 FS
 Barrel Length: 3.78 in
 Overall Length: 7.56 in
 Height: 5.51 in
 Width: 1.38 in
 Weight: 35.6 oz
 Magazine Capacity: 16

Jericho 941 FB
 Barrel Length: 3.50 in
 Overall Length: 7.24 in
 Height: 4.41 in
 Width: 1.38 in
 Weight: 33.3 oz
 Magazine Capacity: 13

Looks like IWI's version of a semi-compact (the FS) has a full-size frame with its unique intermediate barrel.  It would be interesting to be able to line them up and handle each one.  Would also be interesting to see what kind of Frankenguns Den could make by mixing and matching them.

Browning Challenger III, .22 Long Rifle, Glossy Blue

CZ 75 Compact, 9 Luger, Dual Tone — Satin Nickel/Matte Blue
CZ 82, 9 Makarov, Czechoslovak People's Army Black
CZ 83, 7.65 Browning, Glossy Blue
Beretta 3032 Tomcat, .32 Auto, Inox

I think it is very cool.  I wish I had the money to buy a S/N 75B to swap slides with my compact (I am not a fan of duo tone either. I must be some kind of hater.)  I can see your point about the shoulder rig.  That made it through my thick head.  I get it.  Just keep posting pictures of your guns for me to drool over.  Thanks.

The Magnum Research Baby Desert Eagle is on my non-CZ list. I wish they made the .45 with the 4.5 in barrel. 3.9 in just isn't long enough. Therefore, if/when I get one it will have to be the .40 S&W with the 4.5 in barrel.

I agree, there IS a minimum Barrel length that will keep a Pistol practical

Bingo!  Perhaps this explains why the Compact was made from 1993 thru 2012, while the Semi-Compact was made only in 1994.

Hello,

You dates are a little off; I own a semi-compact made in 1992 (Israeli re-import) and a mint compact in gloss blue, in the box, AAI oringal import to the US, also dated 1992. I have also recently seen a new CZ USA import semi-compact.

I picked up a Baby eagle .45 which I believe is a semi compact years ago from a friend and like it a lot. It may have been the beginning of my appreciation of things CZ before I knew about CZ. On the barrel length Everyone has their preferences but the 3.9" is about halfway between a 1911 commander and an officers model  and the 10+1 capacity does not hurt either.

Well, I think you're both wrong
My Semi-Compact, with a S/N P26** was manufactured in 2004
So the Semi has been in production (but maybe not always imported) for quite some time

I did not state that the semi-compact was only made in 1992, only that it was made at least as early as '92 and still recently being made. As you point out, the US does not get all of the CZB made variations.

I was under the impression that the semi-compact was a special order by Jerry's sporting goods hence the name Jerry's special on the side of my box.  Bought mine NIB in 2005 for $313 at a gun show.  My first and favorite CZ.  I like it is because it is basically a commander sized pistol which both of my 1911's are.  The compact slide makes for a very soft shooting 9mm.  David

Photo of my rare ones.  I don't have the 40 anymore.
