More 52 praise

Well, went to the range again.... been awfully (too!) busy, and shot my 52.

This thing is incredible! I shoot an SP-01 in USPSA, and need special glasses to focus on the front sight (bats see only slightly less well than I) but with the 52, my regular glasses, I riddled the bullseye at 15'! Just amazing!

Always gets some attention at the range,too... the only thing usually there that out-bangs it is the S&W .500!

I discovered the safety is trying to chew up my hand if I use a high grip, but even when I don't, the beastie still plays hob with the webbing between thumb and index finger!

But, man, is she fun to shoot!

I just shot both of my new 52s and hit paper at 25 yards on the first outing.  I have 9 mm rugers, 45 rugers, smith and whats his name 22s, but my 52s are the ones I love to shoot.  I have over 20 old military rifles, but they are not as much fun.

I just scored a Hogue Handall sleeve-type grip at my local purveyor of all things shiny that go "bang!" and I can't wait to get to the range to see if they cut down on the "owie!" factor.

Next plan is to refinish the somewhat scuffed exterior with Duracoat in a semi-gloss black.
