Scorch marks on spent cases?

So I have very little experience shooting, but noticed my friends glock and Ruger didn't do this, so I'm wondering if its normal: I see scorch marks on all of my spent brass cases. Is this normal? I'm using federal 9mm cheap Walmart ammo.
