SP-01 Shadow hitting high

I received my SP-01 Shadow from CZ Custom a few weeks ago and it is shooting 5" high at 20-25 yds. As best as I can tell it has a 5mm front F.O. sight (website says 5.5mm for the shadow front sight).  It shoots the same for both my brother and I (we've been shooting since the mid 1970's).

What height of front sight should I order to bring the point of impact down. I generally prefer a "target style" sight picture, i.e. the target sitting on top of the front post.  At $35.00 for each replacements, I don't want to do too much experimenting.

I'm looking around online for sight correction formulas, but haven't run across what I'm needing yet.

What load were you shooting? 147g by any chance?

factory SP01 Shadows have the 5.5 high front sight.

I'm shooting 115 gr as that is what we have a lot of on hand for reloads.
I found a sight height calculator and think I may try a
1.5mm Diode x 6.5mm High x 3.1mm Blade Width
 Recommended for SP01 / CZ 75 / 85 with CZ Custom Competition Or Tactical rear sight
(10098) as recommended by CZ Custom website. That should bring me down about the required amount (I'm hoping).

I'd try another load before changing sights

Probably not going to change loads,,,,, we have several thousand 115 gr bullets on hand and trying to find components now is not easy. It will be easier and probably cheaper to just get a taller front sight.
If I go to a heavier load later, then I'll have a shorter sight on hand for those.

Gotcha. Fwiw my new Sp-01 shadow shot pretty much to point of aim with all the loads I had with similar power factors, just noticed the slower loads shot higher. Also noticed I had to adjust my sight picture, not being used to a FO sight, had to go to more of a 6 o'clock hold when using the FO rather than the actual front sight blade itself.

My shadow shot high too. I took a little off the rear sight now it shoots about a half inch high at 15 yards. This is how I did it. I took a piece of  glass and taped some emery cloth to it. I turned the gun upside down and planed the rear sight on the emery cloth. I did a little at a time and re shot the gun. This method works well because the sight will come out square and clean. I then cold blued the sight.
