No, no ideas at all.... CZ 52 serial numbers are in the form of a letter followed by four digits. I've seen one that had a serial number made of a letter followed by three digits, which leads me to believe that Brno was flexible about how they numbered their guns (no leading zeros after the letter).
It's not like it was issued to the Czech Navy. (OK, poor humor.)
Look to see if the serial number is uniformly stamped everywhere with the same dies, and that this "N" matches the style and depth of strike as the rest of the number. Sometimes proof mark on the barrel (a rampant lion) looks like a fancy "N" if it isn't well struck, and on my pistol it is to the right of the serial number, but slightly higher. Maybe your dealer is a little confused? You'll see soon enough when you take possession.
