CZ-452 Military Trainer
« on: March 29, 2013, 07:22:51 PM »
Guys,

In something of a miracle, I found and bought, a NIB CZ-452 Military Trainer at the local gun store.  It was the last one as well as the display model.  $358.  I am thrilled and finally can add this to the stable.  A good day all round.

GS, Congrats on your recent Trainer purchase. I also have a recently purchased 452 Trainer 17hmr. Post some pics. Are you going to shoot iron sights or scope?

Here are some photos of my new CZ-452 Military Trainer.

I would like to get her to the range today, we'll see if that works out.  I absolutely love the rifle and honestly thought I had waited too long to find one.  I have been looking for some time.  I am going to shoot iron sights for now.  I may put a scope on one day.

I have a question for you guys.  After further thought, I am considering mounting a fixed four power scope.  It is a Leupold FX-II 4x33, for which I would use the CZ 1" rings/mounts.  If I did this, do you think they would clear the rear iron sights?

If the scope is 11 1/2" or less, it will fit behind the rear sight.

But even if longer, that scope should clear fine with those rings.

Thanks Viking.  I am assuming the CZ rings and mount are a good option?  Yes?

Yes.

Burris, Warne and a few other also make good rings to for the CZ's.

Here is a good reference......

I have the CZ rings holding a Weaver V-16 on my CZ 452 Varmint. Very nice rings in my opinion.

She is a beauty!  I'm dead set on waiting for the 452 Ultra Lux but sure wish it came in that good ole CZ walnut!

Great price, better gun!
Be Well & God Bless.
