Sigh ... by the time I got there it was gone ...

I'm almost through my 4# Power Pistol and last 1# of W231.

I'm in the growing camp of "He who must find any powder and then work up a load" ...

2bfree,

I must be stuck on the algorenet or something.

I can bring up a picture of W231 on the Cabela site but when you scroll below to Add to Cart it isn't listed. Also with Hogdon it doesn't list HP-38 in the list of powders available to Add to Cart.

They are all sold out now. I was surprised that Hp 38 lasted all day, 231 sold out first.

I'm with you, I couldn't find either on their site and I checked when they were supposedly still available.

Cheers,
Toby

If anyone is ever near Kernersville NC, you need to stop in and check out lucky 13. They always have Winchester or cci primers for $29 per 1000, lead bullets, and usually a good supply of powder. I know they had 8lbs of 7625 and a few others and 1lb containers of W231, Varget, E3, Clay Dot, and a bunch of others.

Thanks for the info.  My brother often passes thru K'ville on his way from Charlotte when he heads up to our farm in Guilford county.  I myself live in Wilmington, but we often meet at the farm and we have our own range there. Have a happy New Year and thanks again for posting.
