Lube it and use it, the more you open and close it the more the parts will mate and smooth out. If they don't start out tight, they end up loose. Apply some grease to the forend metal where it slides along the front of the frame as well as the sides of the monoblock, work it open/closed a few times and then wipe away the excess.
