A lot of my other pistols have been hard chromed, which is generally my preferred finish, but I LOVED the look of my 97B when it was new with glossy blue and the checkered walnut grips... only problem is that the finish went bye-bye in short order. I'm thinking about an ion bond finish as a durable alternative which will mimic the look of blue steel. Anyone else tried this? I'll definitely post pics if/when I get the finish done.
