75PCR D at the range
« on: July 11, 2013, 05:02:19 PM »
Finally!! Got to take the PCR to the range. I've had it since it was cold around here. Just could not get to the range. Fired it once in the front yard (we live way out). But today I took it for some lead slinging. Uh, wow!! comes to mind. Smooth as all get out. Fits the hand near perfect. Completely manageable felt recoil. Just tons'o'fun!

Altho' it looks just like every other PCR D, here's a pic of the pistol.

This is a pic of the first 3 mags. Plus a few up top for grins

This is a triple tap: 2 to the thorax region (sorta), 1 to the head. The center mass and lower stomach shots were dumps where I didn't have 3 left to chamber.

Not perfect by any means. But I am happy with it. Just feels right. Now, if there just a subcompact that looked, felt and shot like this one ... yeah, baby!!  O0

The first pic is at 7 yrds. The triple taps were at 10 yrds.

Sweet!  Recently purchased my new PCR, have put 100 rounds through it and can't stop smiling.  Excellent pistol :)

Try a RAMI.  Just as accurate, just as awesome.

If they didn't have a decocker I would be all over one myself.

Funny i love Berettas and Cz's...love old school all metal pistols, but on Beretta 92's and there variants the decocker models are always the most sought after?

I really don't mind the decocker.  Truthfully, for a CCW.. perhaps I even prefer one.  I don't want to mess around with the safety.  Anyways, all these compacts are awesome.  I am comfortable manually lowering the hammer to half-cocked regardless.

These are all great pistols. 8)

Having two of my pistols with decockers rather than safeties, I'm beginning to prefer that. Maybe it's "liking whatcha got" syndrome, maybe not. But I can definitely live with it.

Just an aside, since I started the thread, seriously thinking of dumping the PX4 Storm for another CZ. Hate to have all the same pistols, but these two seem to fit SO WELL, thinking another can't hurt, eh? Altho', I'm pretty darned accurate with the PX4, too.

There are certain situations where I might use a safety.  A decocker, to me, is just superfluous.  I can do it by hand, no problem.  I don't have anything against decockers, other than they are apparently more difficult to modify, they just don't make sense for me.

They say "beware of the man with one gun because he probably knows how to use it".  In that vein I think making your guns as identical as possible means no matter which gun you choose to practice with you will be gaining proficiency with all of them.  At least that's my theory.  I will let you know when they are all as close to identical as I can make them and whether this theory pans out.
