CZ P07 trigger
« on: August 25, 2013, 07:06:13 PM »
Does ANY CZ trigger change out with the stock P07 trigger.  I finally handled a CZ P07, and me thinks I might not like the small and highly curved face of the 07 trigger.  All other things seem right about the gun.  I know I had a slight objection to it in the P01, but that is replaceable.  Thanks.

P09 trigger may work. It's the Omega system as well. Different shape from P07, 75 Omega and P02

Anyone find the radius too small?

After a training session where I'm learning to improve my DA marksmanship,  I do notice the bottom part(closest to the end of the trigger) of my trigger finger is a bit tender. I like Stuart's idea of replacing it with a P-09 trigger. Hmmm...

Beng. I have to agree with you. The lower part of my trigger finger is also on the tender side, even after 2 days. Picked up my p09 today, and I see no reason why it should not fit. I have never sent a weapon out to be upgraded, but I may just try to contact cz custom and see if they can make the switch to the p09 trigger, and maeby lighten the DA a couple of lbs (not that its bad now). The SA is just fine for me.

I have just bought my first CZ pistol in .380.  Where can I find info on it, such as model and disassembly info.  Thanks to anyone who can help me.

I think you just bought a cz83. Just google it. You should be able to find disassembly instructions pretty easily. Enjoy. Kicking myself for passing up on an 82.

I think this is a problem (potentially) for me IF I go to a P07.  I did not completely like the P01 curve - my fingers are a tad fat.  Is the effect better in SA than DA?

I do think that a less curved trigger is better.

You may want to handle 1 first then. The p09 should be no problem.

I'd wait and see what happens with the P07.
they seem to be changing it. Last batch I have seen had the P09 hammer in it.
Saw a photo of  a P07 on FB at the CZUB range with P09 trigger and P09 hammer in it.

who knows, maybe CZ will make a P09 compact with interchangeable backstraps, metal sights, P09 hammer and trigger.

AAArgh! May have bought mine to soon. Oh well. Still happy. Tritium sights and the p09 trigger. And maybe a highnoon holster unless bianchi comes out with one. Also megcar mags. I don't understand why cz mags are twice as expensive.

I really think it is about supply and demand, AND the proclivities of the manufacture.  I'd bet half a paycheck that all CZ mags are made by mecgar.  It is up to the gun company whether they allow sales outside of the Trademark.  Just like the S&W M&P.  the mags are clearly mecgar who could sell them for $20-25 on the mecgar label, but for whatever reason, smith doesn't allow it.  Right now, CZ allows mecgar to sell various other models of magazines for CZs directly,  but not yet the P07.  Maybe if they reach a certain production level, they will.

I have put a few hundred more rounds thru the p07. Have to admit that I'm getting used to the sharper half moon trigger. Does not affect in SA. I was also hitting a propane tank out at 50yds about 1/3 of the time. Not bad for cheap ammo and a barrel that is less than 4", and my 4 eyes. I am not that great of a shot, so someone with more skill would probably be much closer to 100%.

I have both and I like the p07 much better than the p09. It just fits my hand better, no slipping when firing. The p09 slips in my hand matter what back strap I put on. This probably isn't a fair comparison because only put 20 rounds through my p09 but don't know if I want to keep it.

Glock tape my friend. Cheap and you basically customized your p09. Did the same to my p07.
