is t-120 canik a decocker?

No. Mine is a Tri-Star Canik T-120 and it's a safety only. Interesting thing is you can put it on safe with the hammer down, at half cock or full cock. The slide is locked and the trigger doesn't move.

I put the rubber grips on mine with no problem. The are a little smaller, but I like the way they feel.

The T-120 weighs 32.1 oz on my kitchen scale with mag. Looks like the l-120 is listed at 2 lbs. So yes an alloy frame with a rail. But besides the rail the sights are different. The rear dovetail on the T-120 looks larger just looking at pictures of the l-120. I haven't found a front site like on the T-120 yet. I'd like a fiber front but haven't been able to find one yet. But I like the T-120 a lot. Those fish scales are very easy to grip on that slide too.

Isn't the Shark C just a compact version of the T-120? Do the CZ 75 Compact rubber grips fit on both of them?

The "Shark C" line is Canik's compact clone of the Israeli Jericho 941.  It's full size brother is the Shark FC (Full size - Compensated, I'd guess)

The T-120 appears to be the same exact pistol as a Shark FC, only branded for & imported & sold by Tristar.




I'm waiting for someone to import the Piranha F.

The T-120 is a Shark F not FC. The FC is Full size Compensated. In other words the FC has a ported barrel. The T-120 doesn't.

I believe the Tri-Star T-100 is the Shark Compact.  I don't believe the compact and full size would use the same grips. The have different magazine capacities.

How much would you pay for one now?  I am looking at one that I could get for $315 delivered, including FFL fees.

I'd get it at that price, depending on condition. I like mine and its a good shooter. I just got my first real CZ yesterday. A SP01. It's a bit nicer with just a little bit better trigger. It will always be  worth more than the T-120 I'm sure. But you will not get one of those for any where close to 315 either. Of course the aren't the same gun. The SP01 weighs 10oz more. But all of that is in the frame. The slides are within 1oz of each other.

Lack of Replacement sights is the biggest thing I see wrong with the T-120. No one seems to be making fiber or night sights.

Cajun Gun Works has hammers, springs ...... But no sights for the Canik.

But for the money, I thing it's hard to go wrong with one.

A T-120 for $315 total is an excellent price. Definitely snap it up if you can!

It will be a great range gun or training gun. I think what puts some people off is the name 'Tristar'. I think to some it sounds cheap or something but for those who know they are just the importer and look at the actual gun itself and who makes it (Canik 55 obviously) it's great gun. I really like the Compact version of it I have. Really soft shooter; even for a 9mm.
