Supply and demand

As we all know, P-09s are hard to come by right now.  I'm on a waiting list at at least 5 shops for one.

That being said, I've got plenty of other toys to play with in the meantime.  It's got me curious, however, as to how long it might take to produce enough to fill the back orders.  Is it typical for other manufacturers to have to play catch up in a manner such as this?  I've not been a firearm owner long enough to have experienced the waiting game with a "hot product" release. Is it accurate to say that CZ implements a little more hands on TLC with their product than other manufacturers, thus the longer lead times?

CZ is rolling them out as fast as they can, but the major difference with CZ and American manufacturers is that CZ has a world wide market, plus major military contracts to fill with P-07s, Phantoms and BREN/EVO rifles/carbines. Production is fit in as best as possible, and what they can send goes on the plane - no more boats, too slow.
Hopefully the next plane that touches down is filled with P-09 boxes, and back orders will be filled, but it's really a guessing game on what the factory is going to send.

I decided to remain on the waiting list for another P-09, so that I will have two instead of one.  I am also in need of 2 more magazines.  And some sights.  And some CGW parts to test.  The used one I received this week is super.
