75b w/omega trigger

Hope someone can tell me what the differance is between the standard 75B trigger & the 75B w/omega trigger. I understand that the omega is a simpler design But are there any other differances?

It's simpler and you can swap between decocker or safty fairly easily. Can't do that with standard trigger.

With the regular trigger since its been around longer there are several options to get work done to it. CZ custom also offers a custom hammer on top of trigger work which makes the pull even better.

Some versatility in the system, that the 75 does not have.

Right now the Omega system is simpler and better out of the box.
But, the classic trigger system has more tuning options at the moment from CGW and CZ Custom.
Over time, there should be just as much for the Omega system as well, I know CGW has some in the works.

Thanks for all your input. Now I have to decide which way to go. It's not gong to be easy. Getting both would solve that problem. If only life was so easy.

The Omega has a lot going for it.  No sear cage, yet the sear is better supported than the "regular" CZ's.  The single-sided trigger bar actually works against a simple roller bearing, so the DA is going to be inherently much smoother out of the box. 

You can disassemble an Omega with no tools, so this is a huge plus for the do-it-yourselfer.  The ability to switch from decocker to manual safety is cool as well.  There is lot to like about this design, it's simple, yet durable.  The use of MIM and metal stampings makes for a better finished part, making the action easy to smooth out. 

There are a few little gremlins in the Omega, but we know where they are and how to fix it.  If you find one at a good price, scoop it up.

Tying to find something used to be able to save a few bucks but everything seems to be as much as a new one. It must be the times.

Has CZ started marketing the different safeties for the CZ75 Omega or only for the P-07/P-09 series?

If you're unsure just get a standard CZ75B from Damascus.  You can't beat $478 shipped and no credit card fees.  If you're set on an Omega Bud's has CZ75 Omegas for $540 shipped but there's a fee if you pay with credit card.  For me the Omega isn't worth the premium on the CZ75 models, but that's just a personal preference.

     Hiya nicky and thanks for starting the thread. You got replies from Stu and David from there you'll have to decide. And sometimes you have to take a leap to find out if its right or not for you. I parted with a very nice 9mm compact this week, without the omega and with a short reset trigger, took a few hundred dollar loss and kept the 9mm compact that has the omega trigger system. Made the purchase because of the comments above referring to be able to do more things to the trigger, having owned both the non omega trigger with short reset, and czc extra work on it, is noticably a better trigger, as far as what I was looking for in a trigger ie. less creep, mush, shorter reset, crisp break. But turned out that for my use, the decocker is a better choice, and an ambi decocker even better yet, the sights I found for the omega dont glow in the dark, but for me easier to target with than partridge sights. So wish ya luck in finding the gun that best fits your needs for it. And hope its a cz. Be well.

There are a few other differences between the 75B and the 75B OMEGA.   The Omega has the upswept tang and larger mag release button.   Those were the deciding factor for me.  It fits my hand better. 
I like the smoothness of the Omega trigger but it is still a long pull in both SA and DA.  I use mine in Speedsteel competitions and it runs flawlessly.   Great choice either way.

My 2 75bs are almost as smooth as my p07 and p09. No work done to them, but defiantly a lot of rounds later. p07 and p09 were smooth out of the box. Someday an omega 75b might be in order. I do prefer all steel for the long run.

How do I kill these gremlins Schmeky??? Do I just set the pistol in the sun? 

I must say the "night sights" on my omega are a complete joke compared to the actual true dot sights which came on my SP-01.

Hmmmm mine came with Tru Dot night sights.  Did yours have something else?  I really like them
