Hello!
I had been looking for a decently priced (so I could get two!) modern sporting rifle that would take 30-rd mags of 7.62x39, and that was both more reliable and abuse-tolerating than an AR, and more accurate than an AK.
After doing Internet research for months, I concluded that the only rifle that fits the bill within my price range was the VZ-58 pattern. So, I just bought two VZ-2008 rifles: a fixed stock one and a folder one.
I have to say I'm in love with their looks. I've also taken them apart, cleaned them and overall got familiar with their internals. I've also bought a bunch of mags and a case of ammo. I'll get a chance to shoot them before the end of the month.
Anyways, I figured that here is where the experienced VZ-58 gurus hang out, so I thought I'd join and get some of the crumbs that fall from the table
