Love the idea - but aren't you going to have crazy muzzle shadow to the left?  :o

Not much that I've noticed so far. But I just put the rails on the other day, so I'm messing with the placement of things. I may change the light out for something else as well. I just had that extra Streamlight (which I like very much) lying around, not being used.

I've ran lights/light position like this on other rifles as well. I was going to stick the light on the bottom rail. But the AFG2 takes up too much rail space for that. Some hate them. But I'm a big fan of angled fore grips.

Nice!

I've got the AFG on Bonesteel rails. I got a light on the bottom rail by shaving off just a bit of the rear lips on the AFG so I could slide it back and extra 1/2" or so.  Gave just enough room in front to slide the light on the bottom rail. Puts it right in front of your fingers.

....I've always liked the original folder on the 58. But I may eventually go for a more modern stock (ala AR variety). But the ones I like are pricey and I don't want to spend the coin for it right now. I'll also add an FSB that has the bayonet lug too. Why? I like bayonets. :) And perhaps an attached muzzle device as well.

This things is gonna get painted soon as well. I'm not much of a fan of the black on the 58. It doesn't look "right" to me. I could paint it gray. But I'm going for a unique Czech camo pattern. Stay tuned. O0

If you are going to be replacing the FSB for the bayonet I would go ahead and get a muzzle device, as you will already be paying them to perm attach something back on there, might as well be an upgrade.

I'll be interested to see your camo painting. Its shaping up to be one unique VZ.

I like it!
I think the two tone black and green work well together. Mine is a gray that matches my surplus mags. Waffen werks painted it with a KG gunkote and I think it is a good match.

I agree with Andrew about the muzzle device, at least look at bonesteels adapter so you can change them out later. Mine is pinned and welded so I will not be changing it anytime soon which is good that I do like it.

I had a Eotech 516 on mine but felt it was a little to high. I have since switched to a TRS-25 and like the height better but miss the eotech reticle, oh well. I also have a Fab Defense M4 VZ-SB stock and I like it , it is a rock solid piece. It does have the downsides of weight and the AR style stock when folded partially blocks the trigger housing.  I have a beaver barf wood stock on the rifle right now but plan to build a VZ to mount the Fab on.

I know. I've seen your photos.

Though, I guess that a pick of the 58 and an 82 would be more "time appropriate". Since the 58 and the 82 both served together for so long, but are both on the way out.
