I'll be happy to prove it, if someone will send me $450.

I'll do a head to head with a vz-2008 and my trusty CzechpointUSA vz-58.
The issue is Century Arms International does NOT build any of the rifles they sell - they contract out to the cheapest builders they can get. In the case of the infamous WASR-10s and such, the AKM platform is an easy build, so a true gunsmith is not needed. This led to many complaints of low quality, myself included. Also seen some FAL clones from Century I would walk around rather than pick up. I had a CETME rifle from CAI that failed after one magazine worth of ammo, and Century refused to warranty it, even though it was sold new to me. This type of report has tarnished the name of CAI for a long time, and most serious gun owners normally won't buy anything Century assembles.
However, the vz-58 is rated a "difficult" build, and as such, Century must needs choose someone who knows what they are doing to safely put the vz-2008 rifles together. I have heard very little complaint about the vz-2008 and admit I also started off with "Ain't gonna buy it 'cause it says Century on it!" from personal painful experience. Watching the comments posted on many different forums, I think I have to say I am probably wrong, and would be more than willing to stand them head to head with honest reporting on both.
