My next one wound up being something I did not plan on.
A beautiful Dan Wesson 15-2 w8
357 magnum with an 8" barrel.


really like it and the nice part is, it is a sibling to my CZ's, sort of.

Time to revise things this is my next purchase picked it up this morning.
Guess I will be selling the blue one.
Got a nice price and decent condition, it had a couple of spots on it.
But it was nothing that a little 320 grit foam sanding pad could not fix.

I polished the action cleaned it up and now I should go play!

I've been past this thread several times and I did not have an answer that fit.  That was until last evening when the thought of the .40 Cal. CZ 75 SP-01 Tactical with 3 Dot Tritium Sights kinda pop'd into my head.  Hmmmm....

:-)  I just placed a bid on the 9mm version myself.  I missed out on the last bit of stock at Damascus

I was briefly tempted by the idea of a Beretta 92A1 full-size or compact with Wilson Combat upgrades but in the end I felt like the ergos just weren't there.  Nothing touches CZ for me in that respect!

I thought of getting a Tactical at one point, but they are heavy and bulky almost like a Beretta. I am content with what I now have. Besides my 75BD & P-09 are perfect for me for target shooting. I think the next handgun will be a stainless PCR(if CZ makes one in the future), a stainless 75 BD(if it is ever made) or a stainless revolver.

Given the role of this gun I don't mind a little extra bulk overall. The Beretta, though.... just felt way too big in my hand (and I have big hands) whereas the CZ grip just melts. I found the controls on the Beretta awkward too - I don't have to shift my grip at all on my 75BD but had to fidget a bit to decock and drop mags on the Beretta.

Plus the Beretta just ended up looking weird to me LOL

Now... a matte stainless PCR would be... ooooohhh... ;-)

I felt the same way about the Berettas after I purchased my first CZ, a 75BD. I never liked the position of the decocker.
I have six CZ pistols now and sold off three Berettas and contemplating selling another one

I've divested myself of all things 9mm with the exception of my P01 and my SP01 Tactical.  I already have the CZ 75 Compact .40 so I guess I need the .40 SP01 Tactical to fill the gap.      Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I like those pistols a lot. unfortunately.... The last time I shot one I got two little nice cuts on the web of my hand from the slide. I guess I just have to high of a hold for those... and too big of a hand.

My Browning High power give me some nasty hammer bite too... I shot one mag through it and that was it last time I went out.

I'm thinking about getting a rami long slide and a Cz 75 short? well getting both and swapping slides. I'm guessing the 75 frame will need chopped from what I've been told. Might work....only one way to find out

Today I met my next handgun and it came home with me.
A CZ 97B. I went to a gun show in Texas and found one (1) just one in the entire show. I had been looking for over a month and even bid on one on GB. But once I got my hands on one ..... I couldn't give it back. Tomorrow, the range!

Oh, it was at $707 with everything included including sales tax.
