Y'all who are looking @ the Sphinx, there was a used one at the Billings, MT Cabela's when I was through there a couple of days ago, I just don't remember the price on it.

Thanks.

I'm getting nervous about hearing NOTHING from Remington.  They may not be able to meet their schedule---no real surprise I guess.

I'll buy a lottery ticket tomorrow. If I win big, I'll buy this one - http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=447916442 (Arsenal Firearms Double 1911).

If not, then I'll buy one of the Swedish M40 Lahti pistols I've been looking at. (OK, to be honest, I'll do this option either way)

Not my next but always on my list is the Finnish Lahti L-35, it's built a bit better than the Swedish copy and besides it was my grandads side arm from 1939-1945. He also carried a Suomi konepistooli and that one is off the list for now!

Hopefully I will get a call about my pro package P07 being completed.  I think it is supposed to be next week.  Fingers crossed.

I am satisfied with the service size pistols I have in 9mm. So, my wantlist in no particular order:

P07
75 Compact B or D
G19 Gen 4
G26
S&W Shield
CW9
PT111 Millenium G2

Let's see... I now have a P-07. Scrub the Millenium G2, there are better choices out there. The P-07 is an equivalent of the G19... Something smaller is in order, like the Shield...maybe a RAMI? However, the 75 Compact/P-01/PCR are nice options too... :-\

The grip size on that .45 pistol-pistol is definitely on the BIG side.  Looks amazingly 'normal' otherwise.

I looked at it in the store's display case. The grip size is roughly the size of a Desert Eagle (it is wider, but shorter than the DE). Double 8-round magazine, two barrels, fires 2 shots of .45 ACP with each pull of the trigger.

I've heard that the Finnish L-35 is a better made pistol, but the M40 Husqvarna made pistols are a lot easier to find. The Finnish version will stay on my long term want list.

I just agreed to buy my buddy's CZ 97B.  He has it set up SAO so had to buy some custom parts to take it back to DA/SA.  He is considering trading for my P01.  I like it but don't carry it.  He wants to shoot it a bit more and see if he likes it.  He is going to trade me a fully upgraded Compact.  I shoot the all steel better anyway.  I picked up and 85B a couple of weeks ago and my pro package P07 should ship out any day now.  So, the only gun really left on the "must have" list is an SP01 safety model.  Down the road I will pick up another 82 and 83.  I want to find ones that are keepers.  I would someday like to have another 40B and 40P but that isn't all that important.  So, I guess, for the time being, I am down to wanting only one.  That will change.

When I was picking up a new .22 Cal upper for my Bushmaster I handled one of the new Rock Island Tactical 1911s.
I am not a 1911 fan even though I have one (old Chrome Colt Model 70 Series).
But I have to say that the feel, the smooth slide, and the adjustable trigger made this one for $575 very very tempting.

I might just hold out for a carry model CZ 75 B Compact instead.
