I'm thinking about something in .45 ACP.  Currently leaning towards the 97BD.

The 97 series does not disappoint those looking for an accurate, soft shooting .45.
I find my 97BD and the SP01 Tactical to be quite similar in shooting feel and performance.
Try to shoot a 97 along with your other .45 options. I think you will be impressed with how controllable a .45 can be.

Love my 97BD. Solved the loosening grip issue with O-rings under the screw heads. I use it as a Concealed Carry about once a week.
When that thing comes out people pay real close attention to what you are saying.  It just looks big and mean!

I just sold an FN FNX.  Next up is something for IDPA CCP, probably an HK VP9 but possibly a glock 19.

Wouldn't a P-01 be good for the CCP division?  Are you thinking same trigger pull each shot will be faster?

I've got a steel compact but it has ambi safeties and is too wide.  I could put a single sided safety back on it and take the first shot DA.  But I pulled the fpb and it's technically not legal and I don't like breaking the rules. 

I actually picked up a VP9 tonight and it sure feels nice.  I look forward to getting it to the range.  I've been getting the hankering to pick up a nice striker fired double stack.  The new CCP division gave me an excuse to do so.

Brought it home last night, looks brand new. Nickel plate is great looking. Trigger is the nicest "new" trigger of all my CZs. Can't wait to shoot it.

Just put a deposit on an HK VP9. I figure if I'm going to eventually succumb and buy a striker-fired poly, I might as well go all-out!

Congratulations on the Ruger Security Six!    I have a 2.5 inch barreled Speed Six in .38 Special and love it!
