Picked up my Sig P239 this afternoon, Nitron finish with fiber/night front and Siglite rear sights. Ran 75 rounds through it, 50 of Freedom Munitions 100gr ammo and 25 Hornady Critical Defense. No problems and remarkably accurate. I think it could replace my Ruger LCR as my small carry gun of choice. It's rather surprising how small and light this pistol is, weighs about the same as my LCR and as you can see in the photos, it's smaller. The extended magazine in the photo holds 7 rounds and the flush fit mag holds 6.

Just purchase it today on GunBroker.  A Czech National Police surplus CZ75 D Compact, the forerunner to the PCR.

Going to play with it for awhile to see how it handles, then probably send it to guy who is certified in applying Cerakote.

I was watching that one but am short of funds.  Good buy.

Does my new to me Izzy count.
It is an IZH46 not an M but it does not matter it is a fantastic practice tool.
I shoot it more than all more "regular" handguns combined, something about the neighbors objecting if I set up targets in the back yard and firing off the 97BE SA.

I practice with this at 10 meters and 25 yards, This is a fantastic tool to hone your skills.
The 11" barrel and 430 fps pace, makes you focus real hard on follow through on your shots. If not you pull the shot everytime.

I had it only a few days and had to start modifying the grips on it, now they fit my big paws. I literally cannot fit the palm rest as my hand extends all the way to the base of the grip. List of to do's is to partially stipple the grips, make a palm rest that will fit my hands, and refinish the grip .

Neat, never seen anything quite like it.

Hi Tok36,
It is an air pistol for .177 cal pellets far more accurate than anyone can do justice, used in competition 10 meter air pistol competitions.
Not in my case as I could never shoot that well. But I am always working on it.

Thanks!  I've seen several of these over the last couple of months and have been contemplating whether I really wanted one or not.  I also seen these go for nearly as much as a NIB PCR which is crazy.  But I think it's cause it is different then what is being offered and knowing that it was used by a country's national police much like the desirability of a firearm that can be proven used by our own FBI.

I own a Phantom and BD Police, and just love how both feel and work.

Ok, so today I went to my LGS and picked up a CZ 2075 Rami. I wasn't as excited as I thought I would be.
My little finger doesn't fit on the grip. I prefer that it does and have put Pearce Grips on my other magazines where needed.
But .... I did get to handle a CZ 75 Compact. Whoa ..... now that is my next gun .... maybe.

Can someone tell me if the CZ 75 Compact has the B (Block)?
I wouldn't have bothered too much but this last week I actually dropped my 75B in Brushed Stainless!!!  :-[
Luckily .... there wasn't one in the chamber and there was no visible damage to the pistol, magazine, or the even the tile floor in my bathroom. Yea.

Fact is, my pants were not really all the way up anyway as I was exiting the water closet (toilet).
I prefer the Galco Jak-Slide holster and after all these years and a Jak-slide for almost every pistol I own; this is the first time one has ever hit the floor.

So, since I do often keep one in the chamber I now figure a Block may be a good idea after all. After all, I am not getting any younger and my trips to the bathroom are more frequent than they used to be.

The CZ-USA website says it does.

You can modify a Pearce grip to fit on the Rami. Works great, I had one, I just prefer wrapping my pinky around the bottom.

The CZ compact / P-01 /PCR models come equipt with firing pin blocks.

Here is an easy way to tell. If it has a hole in the rear of the slide it has an FPB (unless someone has removed it). The hole is for the roll pin that retains the firing pin in the FPB CZ's. The Non FPB models do not have the hole, they are designed differently and use a retaining plate at the back of the slide to hold the firing pin in place.

Here is a picture to illustrate. (The CZ97 in the picture has a FPB)

On another note: Terry MC, thank you for the info. Interesting pistol.

You guys are great!
Thanks for the valuable information and even the photo!

Yea, well I have the CZ bug. Had it for awhile and I don't mind. There is a Show here locally this week and now I will go with renewed interest looking for a CZ 75 Compact.

Thanks again, "Y'all."

Next handgun depends on how the interview I have on Friday goes in CA.  If I get the job, I have to snag an SP-01 Shadow before I move, because it might be my last chance.  O0 If I don't get the job, it will likely be an XD-S for summer carry in Texas.  Or if I end up being forced to move back 'home' to NY, my next handgun will be... nothing... for a long time while I wait for a pistol permit application to go through.  :-[

I like the XDs 45.
Not a fun gun to take to range but it carries and conceals easy.
Not fun because the grip is aggressive and it does have a hard recoil.
I especially like the paddle holster included in the kit.
It is adjustable and goes on and off the belt easy.
