I can't say enough good about the VP9 - best pistol I have ever owned,  (Sorry CZs)

After some experimentation with the grip panels the VP9 fits me perfectly and it shoots like a laser. :)

For me it is now the gun all others are measured against.

My Grand Power P1Ultra MK12 arrived this afternoon from buds outstanding price and i am already trying to find an excuse to go to the range. You are really getting a lot of value for your money on this one. Wish I had ordered more than two extra mags and i wish they were here already as well. The onlt thing I did not care for is the color of the fiber optic front sight, I can't see the red so I already switched it out to green. For under $700 you get an outstanding trigger with a seriously short rest shorter than any Cz I have ever owned. I had one generic grand power several years ago a stock one and I was very impressed with that gun. This blows that away, this is a pistol that I can compete with out of the box it won't ever need any upgrades. I just need to get a good holster. Now I have not even been to the range yet and I am planning for an Excaliber!

My last 2 have been S&W's, got a 915 and a 39-2 recently. Both were priced right, and add some variety to my humble collection of 9x19's. The 915 is a 15 rd doublestack, with a 4 inch barrel, blued slide, Trijicon sights (faint but visible) and aluminum frame. If my CZ 75 is a fullsize, then the 915 is a midsize.
I was looking to add a Star Model 30M to the mix, but came across the 39-2 at the same price and could not pass on it.

Poster above mentioned a short trigger reset; the Smiths are amazingly short on reset, maybe 1/8th of an inch.

I briefly had a P1 Mk7 and can add to what you said Brian, the shortest reset than any other stock pistol I've ever owned. Congrats, looking forward to a full review/report!

Just got an unfired Colt Detective Special in box with papers this week. Colt says it is one of the last to roll off the line in 1995. It was purchased from an 81 year old man who says his wife is making him sell his guns because he is now "too old to have them". It has been sitting in his safe for 20 years. It's beautiful, and I am a very happy camper.

Bulgarian Makarov, importer listed as un-issued, but Classic only claims like new. Well packed in grease.

My preferred local shop has a Ruger LCR 327 Federal that I got to try out. The owner is keeping that one, but ordered one for me. Should be in Tuesday and I hope to pick it up Thursday or Friday.  I have an old Rossi '92 I'm thinking of rebarreling to 327 Fed the current 357 barrel's throat is in rough shape.

It looks cool, is it a decoker? Is the barrel fluted like the Ex?

Jeez, you are killing me with this stuff. I have not even got the Canik I ordered yet!

Thinking about a Sig Legion. Cant decide between 229 or 226...

I have recently acquired a CZ 97B, fully Cajunized, and a CZ 75B in .40 that is in the shop for Cajunization as we speak.  ;D
