Is it a 97B "E"?

Think I will get a Ruger 22/45 five inch and start my nine year old son and nine year old grandson off with it as a single shot first and then move on from there as their skills increase.

Those are good little guns and this is an excellent plan!!  Everyone will benefit.

(I shot a 22/45 in bullseye last year before going back to the Kadet.)

Want to add another 10mm. Right now the Nitro 10 keeps calling my name everytime I go into the LGS.

Just purchase it today on GunBroker.  A Czech National Police surplus CZ75 D Compact, the forerunner to the PCR.

Going to play with it for awhile to see how it handles, then probably send it to guy who is certified in applying Cerakote.

UPDATE:
Just got the CZ 75 Compact D back from Automatic Accuracy the other day.

I had them shorten the reset, put the 13# mainspring, the longer firing pin and lighter spring, reliability package and Cerakote.  In addition I've added the XS small dot sights, and VZ Grips.

Very nice.  Do you have a pic of the sights from the rear?

I don't know if this counts, since this is the second time I bought this pistol. The guy I sold it to was wanting to sell it, so I bought it back. I think it will be getting some CGW parts this time around  ;)

Nothing wrong with CGW parts.

I am still trying to decide if I want a FO front sight.  If i can find some good paint or nail polish, I might try it first.

Picked up a Sig Legion 229 last Friday afternoon and put a Sphinx Duotone on order.

viking499, you might give this a try. I think I would have liked fluorescent green better if I could have found some.

Thanks wd.  Came across that one earlier. Picked up some cheap and easily removable paint from Wally World today to experiment with.  Only got white and bright orange to try.

I really like the CGW front FO during the day.  Where it is thin, it really stands out to me because of the daylight on each side when compared to the rear.  When it is dark, I have trouble seeing the front sight though.  Have been thinking about painting the area around the FO white.
