Remington  Rand 1911 on a aftermarket frame.
It's 73 years old, rattles like a box of bolts and kicks like a mule, but still works like a champ.
I'd like to see a Glock do that at 73.

A 1911 is just like a Glock except the 1911 is for adults, right?

TP9SA, gun shop just down the way got some in. I pulled some unloved stuff out and did a trade yesterday afternoon. Took it out for 100 rounds this morning and I'm very impressed. Nice gun at a great price.

Congratulations!!!  :)  The Canik TP9 series Pistols are great handguns!  8)

Currently, I'm carrying my original TP9 V1.  Have owned an operated it for some two years now without issue.

I have another old ratty looking CZ-75 Israeli turn in on the way. I love rescuing these old guns. Keeps me out of trouble and relieves stress at the same time.

That is correct. I was the only bidder on this sad looking gun. GB usually has a number of CZ trade ins listed. Most have no reserve so if no one else is bidding you can get a deal.

I've been looking for a 1911 to replace the SW1911PD and SR1911CMD that I sold because they didn't "speak" to me. Thinking about a Springfield TRP or Trophy Match. BUT! I just found, what I think is, a fair deal on a CZ97B-E from a friend. I've always thought every American should have a 1911 but mine seem to sit in the safe while the CZ's come out to play. My next is going to be the 97BE!

Aim Surplus has some really nice Star Super B 9mm Para pistols in stock for under $300 with shipping. Ordered one about 6 this evening. I had an unissued Super A (9mm Largo) for many years, sold it to a collector of Star pistols.

I don't know what it is about 1911 pistols. I hate them! They have cost me a small fortune over a period of about 40 years. They are overpriced for what you get. Now, everyone and his brother makes one. The euro guns are much more fun to shoot! 9MM Baby, and lots of them!

Then I pick up my one remaining Colt Defender. Massage it a bit. Feel that trigger. Then put it back to bed! O0

UPDATE:
Here is my GP100 5" with new Altamont snakeskin rubber grips and Chig's curl ash inserts. I wanted something different than regular wood.
