Walther P-38.  Heading to gunsmith then hopefully range.

Looks like a late '57 West German Police with '62 magazines.

Just put a police trade-in M&P 45 Mid size w/night sights on layaway earlier today. No external safety or mag disconnect safety either! Will post pics after I pay it off in a few weeks.

For those not familiar with that specific model, pretty much the same exact dimensions as the M&P 9 full size, achieved by combining the M&P 45 full-size grip/frame and the 45 compact slide and barrel.

Not mine, but gives you an idea:

I used to own one but sold it, I never warmed up to it. Tell you the truth it was unfired, I guess I just prefer a steel gun. It was well built, balanced, and comfortable but I am not a real big fan of polymer.

I'm looking at getting another pre-B 75. My son is coming of age (turns 21 soon), and though he enjoys shooting all of my pistols, he keeps coming back to my old pre B ... the one pistol I'd least like to part with. Ah well, it's a good choice, and the reasons he likes it is the reasons I do too.

I have a CZ 1911A1 on order.  All paid for, just waiting for it to get shipped to my FFL.  After that I am considering a RAMI :)

Glock 17 Gen 4. Was shooting with some friends at a range in Las Vegas in September trying a bunch of pistols, and the range officer put a G17 in my hands. For the next 10 minutes I was making an ever increasing single hole in the bulls eye. Hmmm . . . I had always dismissed Glocks, and why would I ever want one since I have a P-09 as my plastic HD/competition pistol?

Picked it up at a local gun dealer in January. It's a fine shooter. Do I like it more than my CZs? No, but I like it as much, and I now understand why they are so popular. I'll still use my P-09 for IDPA, but the G17 is a lot of fun to shoot. I immediately put a set of Dawson sights on it with a fixed black rear and FO front. Makes a big difference. So far, I'll keep everything else factory, as I like the trigger pull out of the box.
