I really love my CZ 97B and I cannot think of any good reason to have another pistol for myself other than it would be nice to have two of exactly the same in case I break one of them or a spring breaks. However this has not been an issue for me yet so I will go on pretending this pistol is all I ever need in the realm of handguns.
I also have a shotgun, a carbine, and a scoped hunting rifle in large caliber. That's all I'll ever need.
I used to think the same thing!
CZ's are extremely habit-forming. Buy one and you'll want another...and another... 1911's are the same way for me. I don't think there's such a thing as having too many CZ's and 1911's. I just brought this one home today!
Semper Fi, my friend!
Semper Fi back to you also Kol.
It does make sense to have two of exactly everything so that you can cannibalize the one to keep the other one going if you need to.
I loved my G/I issued Springfield 1911A1 while I walked my post with it.
The modern CZ 97B's are more advanced in that the triggers are single and double action.
That way I don't need to futz with either cocking a hammer from Condition #2 or flicking off the safety from Condition #1.
I can just do the long pull on the trigger and get the first round off that way.
