What's Your Next Handgun?

I have two that I want to get. A CZ Compact with a rail and ambi decocker. Unfortunately, this particular combination does not exist. Who knows, maybe someday. I would like to get a CZ SP-01 Shadow Accu Bushing model 91730 in the near future.

Snagged a Stoeger Cougar 8000 LT in a trade, and saw a great deal on a Beretta Cougar 8000 D at one of my LGS's, so onto layaway it went!

It's not really for me. I'm buying for my adult son's gift. I offered to buy any surplus gun he wanted and I'd paint and re-condition it. He just seems to love the look of plastic stuff. What can I say... Beauty is as good a motive as any other. I spent months reviewing my first pistol, spent a small fortune and ended up with a gun I can't hit the broadside of a barn with!!!
Luckily his taste sent him towards a good company. He want's a Ruger American. Not a bad choice! Cheaper than re-conditioning a worthy surplus gun, so I win out too!

I'm now in a quandary and trying to decide if my next will be a Grand Power K100 or a CZ 75B Compact 99021, which has been the subject of a couple of threads.  Whichever it is will be decided by Tuesday...

For my next purchase I'm going to get either a S&W model 686 or 686+ .357 Magnum with a 3 inch barrel. If I can get a used pre lock 6 shot for a good deal I'll get it, if not I'll get a new 7 shot on the LE/MIL/First responder program.

I mentioned this was on order, but it came on Friday, so here's a few pics. CGW upgrades were just ordered so it'll be upgraded and shared in the CGW pic thread in a week or so. Really excited about this SP-01 Compact! (officially just stamped as a 75 Compact)

Those are very good guns, nice, weighty, almost no recoil, especially in 9mm. Just keep in mind, the barrel can be a tad fiddly with reassembly, but its pretty easy to pick up after doing it a couple times, and switching the mag release can be a real pain (If you're a lefty, like me.). I used to own one, but my dad grew rather fond of it after shooting it, and I decided to give it to him as a birthday present.

Next Gun: it was going to be a Colt Competition 1911, then I started looking at the CZ 97B and after some research decided I will go with the CZ. just this last weekend was at a local firearm auction and couldn't pass up the price on a new CZ 75B .40. got it for $370.00. wasn't on my list but you just cant pass up a deal like that.

I absolutely love my 75B in .40.  IMO the very best platform there is for that round.

I COMPLETELY concur!  I have one centerfire gun that will out shoot mine, and it cheats with a 8 3/8" barrel.  Looooooooong sight radius!

Well... I ended up putting the SP-01 Compact on layaway.  I was going to get it out the other day and got sidetracked by a GREAT deal on a Dan Wesson V-Bob... That'll be here Thursday. WTH?!  I'm just too easy...
