« on: January 26, 2014, 09:32:07 AM »
to all p-07 owners out there which do you perfer the decocker or the manual safety and why? i perfer the decocker due to the fact that is standard equipment and i don't have to switch it out until i want to. either way the safety features and swapibility of both is excellent. love the p-07. ;D

P09 owner, for us it's decockers for sure. They're home defense then range toys for us, and my thought is if I can pull it out of the speed vault and not have to remember or train myself or the wife to take the safety off, it's a perk. The faster we can respond in the event of a home invasion or anything of the sort is my first choice for sure! Always worry when I'm not home, who knows who's watching your house. Anyways, it's a huge comfort factor for me to know the wife can just pull the gun out, rack it and its always ready to go.

I never worry about my house when I'm gone.  While I'm away my 110 lb. Shepherd (meat grinder) is in charge.....he's also got a couple of runnin' mates, 12 and 18 pounders....yes, a couple of ankle biters.  Meat grinder doesn't like ANY body.....and I mean ANY body.....no worries on my part.  The sign hanging outside by my front door says 'Beware of Dog', the other one says 'Enter at your own risk'.....and then there's the one that says 'No Soliciting.  Needless to say, things are pretty quite around my house.

As for a manual safety or a decocker?for home defense, I prefer the decocker, as I?m afraid I?ll forget to thumb the safety off in time of crisis.

P-07 and run with manual safety. I EDC cocked and locked just like my 1911's when it is in rotation.
