5 of my Speer 124 GDs averaged .561"  Didn't know they'd be that inconsistent.  I'm just using a digital caliper,  but have two different brands that agree.
Record shows:  1.140" oal,  .169"  seating depth     :-\

No one has posted here for the past 4 months, so I may be the only one interested in this question but here goes................

Does anyone have any length info for Rainier bullets?  They're often listed in published load data, and I'd like to make the conversion for my Berry's or X-TREME bullets.  I'm assuming they are similar in length???

Add Bayou Bullets coated flat point with no lube groove 124's.   Lenght .558"   Push test 1.104 in my CZ85.

I couldn't get a good picture, but I like the red copper color.

I've used MBC/Falcon 115 RNL and Remington 115 FMJ over the past few years.  They are accurate, reliable, less costly than their heavier counterparts, and take down pepper poppers with authority.

So I pulled some bullets from rounds I made a month ago.  They are Xtreme 124gr FP.  I measured them and they are consistently 0.002" longer than new bullets  0.525".  I wonder if anyone experienced the same and if this normal.

I probably should clarify, these are from the same lot that I originally measured and submitted for this thread.  So 0.525" appears to the average length for new bullets. I then pulled a few bullets which can from the same lot and they measure 0.527"-0.528". So the pulled bullets elongated while in the case?  I could be making a mountain out of a mole hill but thought the community may have an explanation.

Thanks,
Ben

Is there also a difference in diameter between the new ones and the ones you pulled?
I had the right to remain silent...

but not the ability.

I've found .002"  bullet length variations with several brands of bullets,  but not due to being reloaded.

If the bullet diameters are oversized and seated in thick cases,  the LEE FCD MIGHT be tight enough to squish the bullet longer if you use the FCD.   I do use it and why I mentioned it..
Other than these possibilities,  I would suspect coincidence inyour test for bullet lengths.

Not sure if you want to "trust" non cz forum users, but I found more lengths in this post.

http://www.thehighroad.org/archive/index.php/t-752422.html

Extracted:

Sierra 125gr FMJ OAL= .574-.576, bearing surface(BS)= .290-.292 (Base to ogive length)
Hornady 125gr HAP OAL= .571-.573 bearing surface= .306-.309
Nosler 125gr JHP OAL= .543-.547 bearing surface= .324-.327
Sierra 125gr JHP OAL= .545-.548 bearing surface= .339-.341

Lengths are posted 6 from the bottom by RAT807.  I'm bringing this up because my Lyman's Manual contains lots of Sierra JHP and FMJ pistol load data and has made me a bit stir crazy not knowing their lengths to use as reference points.

Thanks for maintaining this thread. It had been invaluable for me.

Ben

benq, I started,  but members maintain this thread.  It can be useful for those building new-to-them loads.

Please just list the "Bullet Maker,Plated/Jacketted/Coated, Nose Type, Weight and the length(s)"   Same format as those posted now.  I'll then move your data to the cover page 1.
Bring forward from trusted sites those you want to see added. You do that 'leg-work'  and to simplify my entering them on the front page-.  ;)

I've got only (2) Rainer plated RN 115g left... They measure :
0.561
0.565

Of the hand full of Berry's plated RN 115g, most measured :
0.555 to 0.556
with only a few 0.557
