I actually love the looks of the Sphinx, but I definitely dislike the aluminum/rubber frame. All steel, baby!

I honestly would like to feel what the hoopla is all about. Never shot an HK or a Sig (my 938 doesn't count even if I still had it). I would also like to shoot a high end CZ. Please do not misunderstand me. I REALLY want to try them out. Very content with what I have at half the price (cajunized of course, and that made a huge difference). Handcrafted, polished and calibrated? If I can muster the patience and the funds become available I would like to give it a try.

Muggia (aka Bruce),

As a newbie, I was looking for something in good shape out of the box.  I am still learning what makes a gun good.  Most of what you did, I don't even know why or how that improves a gun and there is the additional hassle of shipping it back and forth.  I also like the looks of it though the SS CZs have that as well.

I may want to check out the IPSA shooting once I am good enough and if it isn't too tough on an old man and wanted something I could use for that.

Chumley. All the changes done to my guns are from upgrades bought from cgw. Its do it yourself stuff. Spent less than 100$ on each gun so far other than tritium sights. Improved trigger pull and improved sights. You actually don't know you miss it unless you've had it.

I don't have that confidence quite yet to do it myself, someday.

Believe it or not, hammer spring and firing pin are really simple. You actually only have to use a hammer twice. Once to push out the firing pin retaining pin and once to seat it back in properly.
