I said I would shoot a 100 target today and I did! All it took was a hundred (good) rounds through the Ruger 22/45 22 rimfire pistol to warm up, then a couple of not so good targets to get the feel of the P-09 compared to the 22/45, then I got in one last target of five before the rain started.   My son was there and he shot his Ruger 22 pistol very well at 25 yards as well.  No wind, overcast, 60F, a little mud, a little rain.  Who cares!  My first 100 centerfire, I'll take it.

I changed the butchered sear out on the gun on Saturday, replacing it with a new stock untouched sear from CGW.  This worked perfectly with the lightly polished CGW hammer.  The trigger was too light the way I had modified the sear that came in this gun.  There is a lesson here...don't mess with your P-09/P-07 parts!  Get them from CGW and pretty much leave the sear and hammer alone. I'll take a little creep for a consistent smooth feel any day.

Awesome, sir.  Congrats.   8)

AND you sold me one.  Put in my order for an FDE this morning after seeing this thread.  I've been eyeing the P-09 and your threads for months now, and this morning I cracked.   O0

Way to go, Joe!

I have yet to shoot a 100 at our local, informal club with my 8 3/8" 686.  I've shot a 99, but not a 100.

Great shooting and congrats!

Joe, I know you've said in some previous thread, but what ammo are you using at 25 yards?

Same as I use at 100 yards.  Atlanta Arms 115 JHP Reloads.  Always good, very consistent.

My mistake, Joe.  If I'd kept reading over the Benos forums, I would have seen that you'd already answered my question.  ;)

Another first, I shot a higher score with the P-09 at the bullseye match last Saturday than in previous matches.  Trigger is good now.

I had a good match, finished 3rd overall and 3rd in centerfire, 3 percentage points behind a grand master just getting back in to bullseye.  I was very happy.  Last month, I scored 6 percentage points behind him, so I'm gaining.
